Bluetooth Custom Ear Buds

I am a long distance trail runner. One of the most annoying things for me while running are earbuds that are constantly falling out of my ears. Mark Reid hooked me up with a pair of custom fitted earbuds and problem solved. I love them.....so here's to running long distances without having to fiddle with earbuds ever again!!

This is a quick review of the I Plugz purchased from Hearing Protection Services (HPS). Previously, I purchased a set of custom molded earplugs from HPS. They worked extremely well and attenuated noise far superior to standard foam earplugs. However, and I guess as to be expected, it was difficult to hear the stereo (HD Ultra Classic). I was seriously considering a Bose noise isolating earbud setup, but before pulling the trigger, I called HPS to see if there was a better alternative. I was told about the I Plugz and after a little research, purchased them. I could not be happier! The noise attenuation is identical to the custom molded earplugs. What is important is that I could still hear the traffic coming up from behind and on the side. Good for situational awareness. Now, the biggest surprise was the audio quality of the I Plugz! Exceeded my expectation by far. My only suggestion would be for them to have an in-line volume control. When I popped them in with the audio on the lowest setting, one bar above mute, they were slightly too loud. A trip to Radio Shack and ten bucks fixed that real quick. Pros: great noise reduction, easy to pop in and out, comfortable, they seem durable, still hear traffic, outstanding audio quality. Con: no volume control. Now, if you are on the fence about the price, don't be. Again, the audio qualiy is superb. Your hearing is priceless. You paid a lot of money for your bike and you may as well enjoy it. I highly recommend HPS. They answered all my questions, delivered on their promises, and it was just a good buying experience. BTW, the custom molded earplugs I mentioned are now my shooting ear protection.
